    Hehe I don’t know …
    Hehe I don’t know about construction but small companies usually don’t pay and usually have no health care for their staff. Till they can get with it the uncle sugar (sam) approach looks pretty attractive to the unemployed. with uncle sugar (sam) even as a single whitey I can get $250.00 a month for food. But I don’t have to really fret about that I have a union job with health care.

    Yes, thanks George. …
    Yes, thanks George…you are one in 300 million….many thanks for reality checks…we need.

    judutchinski,

    judutchinski,
    Thanks for your comment. It shows class.
    Best,
    BB

  4. judutchinski says:

    And also, I wasn’t …
    And also, I wasn’t intentionally being ‘ageist’. I think it has nothing to do really, with age. Look at Jack Lalane. He still bones his wife (he alleges). He’s “younger” than many 40 year olds yet is a senior citizen.

    Apologies, for my ageist statement. But trying to point out the competition in the market. I got ahead of myself and apologize to any I’ve offended.

  5. judutchinski says:

    You guys are indeed …
    You guys are indeed right! I am not being so PC here though because construction requires a manual labor hustle. I’ll be the first to admit, maybe he’s not the one doing the manual labor – so maybe I’m wrong. Maybe he’s just a supervisory guy.

    But If he is a manual labor guy, i can’t say I’m too far off the mark. It’s competetive out there (especially in Cali) and unfortunately ‘fair’ is not always what wins the job. The illegal Mexicans are a $olution for a lot of those hiring construction.

  6. bboucharde says:

    itillbeme,
    Good …

    itillbeme,
    Good comment. “judutchinski” made a fool of himself with his blatantly ageist comment. Actually, many developers prefer older contractors, who have a long list of references, certification, & experience. I built houses in NorCal for years (before escaping to the Heartland), and my preferred electrician was (at that time) in his 60′s, and that gentleman was a genius for diagnosing electrical faults & doing fast & perfect installations—with zero callbacks.
    Have a nice day,
    BB

    judutchinski,

    judutchinski,
    Shame on you for being ageist, which sucks, just like racism & sexism suck. The interviewee looks like a rock-solid citizen, & he will be more likely to get winning bids against young dudes. He has lots of experience, too. I am 57, successful in business, with three college degrees & HEAVY references. I bench press plenty, can run & bike for miles, & do stairs with 50 pounds on my back, at ideal body weight. I have a high security clearance, too. Do you have a problem with this?

  11. POSSUMTOHIDE says:

    Excellent video …
    Excellent video about small business, I’ve had to shut my wholesale business down last year due to no sales- used to make candles. Thank you George for these type of videos, it really shows what is happening in our country right now!

    the future: go totally underground

  13. LysSpooner says:

    “special contacts” …
    “special contacts” = uncle sugar

  14. hobatu says:

    But the American …
    But the American democracy is broken. The people have become so stupid and undereducated that they simply can’t participate in intelligent policy debate.

    And you wonder why there’s so much anti-American sentiment in the world. You f*cking voted for Sarah Palin, people. You are increasingly a retarded nation, and a threat to the free world.

  15. hobatu says:

    It’s pathetic how …
    It’s pathetic how all that these folks can say about their problems is ‘big government’. It means they’re ignorant, and don’t have a clue about the economic policies of their own country. The politicians in Washington are all too happy to pay lip service to the big government crowd.

    Like it or not, the government designs the economy, doing so specifically to target an artificial equilibrium. It’s been that way for thousands of years. This low wage debt and leverage nonsense is a bad design.

  16. Yuilen says:

    @MrUrbanExplorer

    @MrUrbanExplorer

    It is inescapeable. Unavoidable. The only real way out is to leave the country and live/work somewhere else. And possibly get a double citizenship.

  17. Yuilen says:

    @MrUrbanExplorer …
    @MrUrbanExplorer Lolz, don’t forget your tin foil hat. Honestly, you actually believe saving up ammo, food and water will solve your problems? You blind fool.

    If the hits the fan and America ends up in mass riots and everyone looting each other, your guns will do nothing to the masses that will be running straight at you. You know why they will run to you?

    Cause you stored up all that ammo, food and water FOO!

  18. Yuilen says:

    Lolz wow, when the …
    Lolz wow, when the title said “Huge BKs for Small Businesses” I thought it meant “Huge Burger Kings”….I’m so dumb.

  19. MrUrbanExplorer says:

    if you have not …
    if you have not started preparing you should start now before we get to much further into 2010.

    stock up on ammunition and foods with long expiration dates. you will need to stay close to your homes for the first couple of months to fend off the first wave of zombies.

    the is about to hit the fan.

  20. WesSeid says:

    Pretty much. They …
    Pretty much. They need royalty and peasants; not anything in-between.

  21. cheneygottagun says:

    160 degrees?

    might help his business if he learns a bit more about math, accounting and points on the compass.

    is it not only the youth of EMURDIKA failing at basic cognitive expression?

    the fundamentals are much worse than first observed…

  22. evoval says:

    This started 20+ …
    This started 20+ years ago and this guy could of cared less, it didn’t affect him now it’s reaching the bottom of the barrel, now all of a sudden it’s time to care and do something. What the did everyone think was going to happen with NAFTA, free trade & open boarders. We’ve been played for fools, when everyone hits rock bottom and they get real mad maybe then there will be change and the ones playing us for fools will be dealt with. Don’t act stupid you know who’s responsible.

  23. itillbeme says:

    @judutchinski – …
    @judutchinski – What does ” he’s old” mean. This guy has got more experience and expertise than the next 3 young guys. Its a grading business so that means expert equipment drivers and graders. I bet you this guy can cut a grade on any soil to the half inch without ever leaving his seat.
